Kerry, Hagel urge coalition against Islamic State

Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS

NEWPORT, Wales (AP) — America’s top diplomatic and defense leaders pressed a core coalition of 10 nations to summon the willpower to go after the Islamic State group in Iraq militarily and financially, and said they must build a plan by the time the U.N. General Assembly meets in about two weeks.

In a private meeting with the foreign and defense ministers from the United Kingdom, France, Australia and six other nations, Secretary of State John Kerry said leaders need a clear strategy and a solid idea about what each country will contribute to the fight. And, while noting that many won’t be willing to engage in military strikes, he said they can instead provide intelligence, equipment, ammunition or weapons.

“We have the technology, we have the know-how,” Kerry said. “What we need is obviously the willpower to make sure that we are steady and stay at this.”

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, sitting alongside Kerry, said the group of 10 nations represents a core coalition that will be needed to face the insurgent challenge. He said the group can then be expanded.

Cheney-bush made this mess, 10 years ago!! Now it is deemed necessary to still want to put 'boots on the ground'. Perpetual war is what I'm getting used to. And it is designed that way. ISIS is a creation of 'Shock and Awe'. The middle east is a seething cauldron rumbling toward a..........It's more like I'm not shocked and awwww....... not Iraq again??!!!geez

... times they tried. It IS all part of, "shock and awe", or, "oil for Israel". Things started getting real nasty in the region after Khomeni and his group of clerics/imams took over Iran and shut off one of the main oil sources/pipelines to Israel. And all because they have been, "too cheap", to negotiate in fairness with Assad and Syria over a pipeline from Iraq to the Mediterranean Sea and Europe.

Notice the topography of the region. The easiest route, i.e. ... not having to go over or through mountains, is through Syria.

OIL has always been the unspoken agenda priority for all the industrial powers, also. The rest, WMD's, al-qaeda, blah, blah, blah. Transparent lies and big BS. Modern imperialism driven by greed and oil. Afghanistan has trillions in precious metals and minerals. Greed, yeah that's the ticket!!!!!!!!!!! Who suffers? The average Joe and Josephine everywhere in the world where 'boots on the ground' becomes reality....... We've always have been the fodder for cannons and pawns of the rich on the geostrategic/political chessboard.
