No charges over teacher's evil tweets
September 19, 2014 - 12:39PM
Chris De Benedetti

Newark, California: A teacher whose Twitter messages expressed violent thoughts about students will not be charged with a crime, police said.

Investigators found that Krista Hodges – whose tweets said she wanted to "stab some kids" and wished two students "would get hit by a car" – did not rise to the level of criminal threats, said police commander Mike Carroll.

"The tweets, while inappropriate and unprofessional, did not meet the elements (required) to establish a violation of the code," Mr Carroll said.

Police said they spent three weeks interviewing students, teachers and other school district employees.

and nothing was done about them, either. And that was some 45 years ago. And not too far from where this whackjob terrorizes her charges.

I guess there's something to be said for consistency and tradition.

How can she be an effective teacher with this kind of hatred within her?

In our "Zero Tolerance" culture, what actions do they take against children who post the like?

This woman shouldn't be trusted around children.

they'd have had a SWAT team kicking his or her door in and they'd have probably gone to juvie/prison over it.

So let's not pretend we're all freezepeachy about schools.
