Problems reported at polls vary from state to state

Source: MSNBC

From the south to the northeast and many places in between, there were widespread reports of voting problems as Americans went to the polls Tuesday.
...
Connecticut was among the hardest hit. Lawyers for Gov. Daniel Malloy asked a judge to keep Hartford polling places open for extended hours after a slew of issues at least four sites kept voters from casting their ballots. One site had no monitors. At another 23 polling places, registration books did not arrive in time.
...
In Texas, where a strict voter ID law is in place for the first time in a major election, the state emailed counties Tuesday morning to inform them that the statewide voter registration system was down.
...
in Georgia... Thousands of voters were left in limbo, unsure whether they can cast a ballot, because the secretary of state’s office failed to process approximately 40,000 applications in time. Making the problem worse, the secretary of state’s website was not working for much of the morning, leaving voters unable to access information about their registration status and polling place. Election Protection, a group that monitors voting problems, said it had received reports that voters have not been able to reach their board of elections.

It seems stupid that every state does everything differently.

You may be assured that every "problem" uncovered will disproportionately and negatively impact the Dem vote. And the undiscovered ones will, too.

it's the responsibility of the city to get it all ready.

It's pathetic that they didn't have this basic shit up and running especially after the fiasco in Bridgeport two years ago.

There are over 100K polling places in the US. Do you really expect them to all work perfectly on election day? With that many polling places, it is virtually guaranteed that there will be problems at some of them.

Because liberals would rather whine then act to arrest republicans who stop citizens from voting which is treason and these traitors could be arrested for treason NOW! Start with republicans on supreme court. I am a liberal tactician not whiner.

And it should carry very harsh penalties as it violates the very essence of democracy.

... I was merely responding to the poster who asked why we don't charge them with treason. The reason is the same reason we don't charge them with murder, bigamy or jaywalking. Voter suppression is a crime, but it's not treason (or any of the other things I mentioned).

it's a crime, but not the definition of treason, which is very narrowly defined, for good reason.

What treason have the 5 repub justices committed?

Tactician? I think not, otherwise you would know the true meaning of treason.

After a millennia of the definition being "pissed off the tyrant in power", our founding fathers settled on this:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
