China's exports and imports slowed in March raising fresh concerns about the impact of a global slowdown on the world's second-largest economy.

Exports during the month rose by 8.9% from a year earlier, down from 18.4% growth in February.

Meanwhile, imports rose 5.3%, compared with a 39.6% jump last month, raising fears about slowing domestic demand.
