Carol Ann Susi, voice of Mrs. Wolowitz on 'Big Bang Theory,' dies

LOS ANGELES - Character actress Carol Ann Susi, known as the voice of the unseen Mrs. Wolowitz on "The Big Bang Theory," died Tuesday in Los Angeles after a brief battle with cancer, according to Warner Bros. Television. Susi was 62 and had appeared in numerous TV shows since the 1970s.

On "The Big Bang Theory," she voiced dozens of episodes as the offstage presence of Simon Helberg's mom.

I'd thought that Mrs. Wolowitz's voice was done by the actress that plays "Bernadette".

Wilson(Tool Time), George Steinbreener (Seinfeld), Stanley Walker (Grace and Will), Mr. Townsend (Charlie's Angels), Norm 's wife (Cheers) and even Niles first wife. Her voice had character.

He was on Rhoda as the voice of "Carlton your doorman," also did the voice of Garfield, many others.

House for the holiday, insisting that they were going to her mother's. Norm and the rest of the gang went to Carla's. This was before Frasier married Lilith and before Diane was replaced with Rebecca.

At the end of the show there was a food fight. Veera decided to show up and knocked on the door. Norm announces she is there and brings her in, although we don't see her face. Diane comes out of the kitchen and tells Sam to think fast. She throws the cake at him and he ducks. Then we meet Veera with her face covered in the cake.

She says: "Great friends, Norm. Get your coat."

I never knew that was Carol Ann Susi.
