DARREN WILSON NOT INDICTED: Police report gunshots, smashed stores as thousands rally across U.S. af
Source: NY Daily News
A wave of shock and anger rippled across the U.S. Monday night from New York City to San Francisco following word of a Missouri grand jury's decision not to indict a Ferguson police officer in Michael Brown's shooting death.
Roughly 30 minutes after the announcement was made, St. Louis County police reported shots fired across from the Ferguson Police Department along with a cop car having its back window shattered.
While dodging thrown rocks, bottles, batteries and Molotov cocktails, police say they were also busy responding to reports of nearby looting while local media showed a store with its front windows entirely smashed out.
In Manhattan, several hundred protestors shouting "Hands up, don't shoot!" took to the streets around Union Square to march to Times Square.

(21,157 posts)If I was young I'd be out there tonight. I am very angry Michael brown was gunned down with 11 shots and this racist cop got off.
It was excessive force and Darrin Wilson is a murderer.
I fear for this country in the next couple of days.

(602 posts)I threw up when I heard the news, though it wasn't unexpected. But my heart aches for Michael Brown, his family, his town, this country, and for all those who have suffered and will suffer at the hands of those who believe this was a good and proper outcome.
