Patient With Suspected Ebola In Stable Condition At Mass General

BOSTON (CBS) A patient with suspected Ebola virus was admitted to Mass General Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The hospital says the patient being treated meets the Centers for Disease Control criteria of having traveled to an area where Ebola is present, exposure to Ebola and of now showing potential symptoms of the virus.

(115,678 posts)Hospital officials say the patient previously worked in Liberia where the Ebola virus has hit the hardest. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines the patient has been under observation since Tuesday afternoon.
The patient, who the hospital has declined to identify, will continue to be closely monitored.
