U.S. Senator Claims Terrorist Sleeper Cells Present In Country
Source: New Kerala of India
A United States Senate leader has said that she believes that terrorist sleeper cells are present in the United States and not only in France following the Paris massacre that took 17 lives last week.
Dianne Feinstein said that the country should be more vigilant and keep a close guard. However, Feinstein did not discuss about how many terrorist suspects were present in the country or any details of the terrorist plot.
Despite a lack of threat, a poll shows that 65 percent Americans fear a strike in the U.S while only 26 percent said that an attack is not likely.
The United States President is also preparing to launch an anti-extremism summit on 18th February.

(7,769 posts)If FBI, CIA, NSA or any other intel organization has reported to her committee *any* cell activity inside the USA, why haven't they rolled up the cells?
I don't want to hear again *after* an attack, the culprit was known to the US Intelligence community.

(26,060 posts)is pushing fear. Is she telling people to stay home and hide under their beds? No - she's asking people to stay vigilant - as if anyone who lives in a high target area needs to be told that. You can pretend there is no threat to the US all you want - it's shortsighted and naive but whatever.

(26,060 posts)The two 110-story towers falling was in my imagination. Never happened. Cartoonists weren't just killed by thin skinned imbeciles. Jihadists are a figment of everyone's imagination (while killing more innocent Muslims than any western power). So how is it you're able to breathe with your head so far in the sand?

(54,410 posts)What matters is whether or not they'll want to wake up. If they got used to some kind of quiet good life, they might change their names legally, and disappear into the woodwork. If not, the second they start preparations for any evil stuff, our surveillance is so pervasive at this point that just about any activity that might indicate nasty intentions will get them stuffed into some windowless room until they break. Their handlers also know that if they are given up, they are a quiet drone strike away from dining with Allah tomorrow night. What matters is not whether or not there are sleeper cells. What matters is whether or not they can be woken up and activated without anyone noticing.
The best intelligence victories are the ones we never hear about. The Al Pacino character was correct in "The Recruit:" their failures are known. Their successes are not.

65% = FEAR FEAR FEAR
26% = not likely
Do the 65% that FEAR a strike think it is likely or not?
Do the 26% FEAR a strike or not?
WHAT THE FUCK DOES FEAR HAVE TO DO WITH IT?
Either the poll should ask is it likely or is it not likely, or Are you a slobbering mess-O-FEAR????
The propaganda continues to be catapulted, but it is very insidious. Teabaggers have no hope of seeing the truth.

(5,764 posts)the average US citizen is thousands of times more likely to die as a result of an accident in their own home than by terrorism. It's too bad this sort of propaganda is so effective at manufacturing fear and compliance among Americans.
Foreign policies that seek cooperation instead of dominion over resources and global markets, would be more effective at reducing the risk from terrorism, in my opinion.
