Nigel Farage tells Fox News there are no-go zones for non-Muslims in France

Source: The Guardian

The French embassy in London has compared comments made by Nigel Farage in which he told Fox News there are now no-go zones for non-Muslims in most big cities in France to those made by an American pundit who claimed on the TV network that the whole of Birmingham was off-limits to non-Muslims.

The Ukip leader, in inflammatory comments, which are likely to prompt further claims that he is seeking to exploit the Charlie Hebdo shootings in Paris, also claimed “big ghettos” had been allowed to develop across Europe while governments turned a blind eye to issues including the child-grooming scandals in Rotherham and Rochdale, female genital mutilation and the application of sharia law.

A spokesperson for the embassy said: “Of course it is not true to say that there are no-go areas in France. To give you an idea of how wide of the mark those comments are, we could compare them to those by the American journalist who recently said that non-Muslims simply did not go any longer to Birmingham: in both cases those statements are obviously totally untrue. The ‘marche républicaine’ on Sunday was an excellent example of the unity of the French population when facing terrorism.”

Earlier this week, the self-described terrorism expert Steven Emerson claimed on Fox News that non-Muslims did not go to Birmingham, which he said had become a totally Muslim city.

David Cameron responded by calling him a complete idiot.

In May's general election there's a scary possibility UKIP could do well enough to go to bed with the Tories in a coalition.

And Faux are running with the paranoia-mongering.

Mass immigration has led to Muslim 'ghettos' in Britain run under Sharia Law, says Farage: Ukip leader claims authorities turn 'blind eye' to them during TV interview

...where Farage's gibbering has become indistinguishable from that of the BNP.

Not really a surprise when so many Mosleyites have jumped ship from the BNP to UKIP.

7. Britain First convinced al-Murray is a Muslim

Far-right Facebook memers Britain First have called upon their members in South Thanet to vote for Nigel Farage and not “that muslim fella, al-Murray”.

“First Al-Qaeda, then al-Zawahiri, and now al-Murray, they’re taking the piss” Britain First’s chief bigot Paul Goulding said.

“I’ve seen pictures of him with what seems to be some sort of evil muslim juice in a great British pint glass. That’s worse than depicting a prophet.

“He’s already taken over a pub and changed the menu so they only serve Halal crisps, Halal peanuts, and Halal pork scratchings, let’s not let him take over parliament as well. Parliament is no place for those that want to bomb people.”

8. I had never heard of Britain First. It seems to have descended (literally) from the BNP

which itself imploded due to its obvious bigotry.

Britain First is a far-right[7][9][10][11][12] British nationalist[2] political party and movement formed in 2011 by former members of the British National Party.[11] Britain First campaigns primarily against mass immigration and what it sees as the Islamisation of the United Kingdom, and advocates the preservation of traditional British culture.

Are Britain First's differences with the BNP just personality and opportunism or is the BF even wackier and more dangerous?

Thinking that anyone with the first name of Al must be a Muslim would lead one to believe that a high IQ is not one of the requirements for membership in the group.

3. Undoubtedly another reason from the far-right why the UK should distance itself from the EU.

Of course, scaring British voters with "no-go zones for non-Muslims in France" plays into that agenda.

And the 10 great reasons to vote UKIP would be easier to accomplish if the EU's laws and rules cease to have any effect in the UK.

And as this list indicates, they are not just xenophobic (as everyone knows) but very economically RW too. And STUPID! The only good thing about them is that lots of them are so stupid that they are pretty good at ruining their own political careers by opening their great big mouths. The bad thing about them is that they have the Tories running scared and often moving to the right so as not to lose voters to UKIP.
