Source: Associated Press

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say the son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy has been arrested on federal land on parole violations and a drug court arrest warrant.

Records showed 35-year-old Cliven Lance Bundy was held Wednesday at the Clark County jail pending a court appearance.

The federal Bureau of Land Management released a statement saying a ranger checking off-road vehicles for permits at Jean Dry Lake arrested Bundy on Sunday driving a commercial tour group vehicle.

A public defender who previously represented Bundy didn't immediately respond to messages.

Most public defenders complain their caseload are too large for them to do an effective job.

You get what you pay for, Mr. Bundy. Don't tell us that you're too cheap to hire a good lawyer for your son. Or do you plan to just bribe the DA or the judge?

if they played into the bundy's brand of stupidity, there would be all sorts of "sovereign citizens" running around creating all sorts of stupidity.

one by one they will get these morons locked up and/or pay their bills.

survivalist land grabbers, and you took your manuscript to an editor, the first comment would be "You named this guy Cliven Bundy? Ah, no."

Truth is stranger than fiction -- you can't make this stuff up.

Mormon culture has some weird naming conventions- taking two already bad names and jamming them together to make a worse one is sadly common- and a habit of recycling names from the family tree that really haven't aged well. Cliven appears to be one of the latter.

The authorities could have imprisoned the Bundys and numerous other threats to society when they were cornered at the ranch in Nevada. Another missed opportunity to rid the world of a few right wing extremists.

sound like something that the Bundy supporters would not want to defend.

But I have a feeling that they will try to defend this guy.
