Governor Christie said President Obama missed a chance to unite the country in his State of the Union Speech on Tuesday, and instead delivered a campaign speech.
Speaking briefly to reporters Wednesday as he left a reception near the Capitol where he met with House Republicans invited by his supporters, Christie said he thought Obama's speech "was a bit disconnected from reality, but not a bit surprising."
"I thought the most ironic part of what the president said last night was when he said he ran his last campaign. That was really a campaign speech last night, like the '04 speech, like the '08 speech," Christie said.
In advance of his potential bid for president, Christie's supporters in the House arranged a reception and brought colleagues to get to know him. It appeared about 25 members from around the country attended.

The U.S. is always more united when facing calamities like the policies of the GOP.

(23,102 posts)You just want the president to bend over and take whatever the Repugs are pushing. That is all you care about, giving it to Obama and the 99%. No one buys that "cooperative" shit. repugs don't cooperate with Obama AT ALL in making the country better, why should he cooperate them in their efforts to destroy the working class?
