I don't see a problem. I currently have a driver's license and credit cards and debit cards that can/are all be used for the same things you're telling me I should fear.

California has adopted "Real ID" and I went in to get my driver's license several months ago. Being 71, I had to pass the written and eye tests, which is why I did not do it by mail, but long lines? Nope. Beaurocratic red tape? Nope. Lengthy forms to fill out? Nope.

The longest line I saw was six people waiting to have their picture taken, and this was an office in the heart of San Diego, California where people are born with an automobile growing out their ass.
