New Jersey cops shoot Radazz Hearn — an unarmed black 14-year-old — seven times as he pulls up pants

TRENTON - Salema Jackson broke into tears before she even uttered a word to those assembled at Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton on Thursday to discuss the shooting of her 14-year-old son by two police officers. "I just want everyone to know this whole thing is tragic, and it's very hard," Jackson said, after composing herself. "It's hard to see a child hurt and you can't help him."

She said her son, Radazz Hearns, is progressing and is a fighter. He remains in stable condition at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

Hearns was shot seven times in the back of his legs and buttocks as he ran from police officers on Friday who confronted him on a Trenton street while responding to a report of shots fired.

. . .

Samuel A. Anyan Jr. told the crowd assembled at Shiloh Baptist Church, just a few blocks from the shooting scene, that Hearns was unarmed when he was shot. Hearns was shot five times in the right leg, once in the left leg and has a bullet lodged in his pelvis, Anyan has said.

but if you stay, you're likely to get shot too,
which is why it's so tempting to run away.

THIS ^ is why Blacks are pissed, as well they
should be.

I'm so glad BLM is insisting Dem candidates
address this shit, with clear commitments as
to exactly WHAT they're going to do about it.

Once you get it in your mind that some identifiable group is the enemy, everything they do that might be bad is taken to be intentional, and any act that can be construed to be bad will be construed to be bad. We can call it profiling, but profiling is just taking a real or perceived statistical trend or attributes for a group and (mis)applying it to individuals one way or another.

That, of course, assumes that perceptions can be false, and that statistics can be derived in a flawed or biased way.

Sounds as if they thought it would be pretty keen to leave him unable to walk for the rest of his 14 year-old life.

....when my heater falls out of the waistband of my sweat suit, it goes under a car.
I hate getting all messy crawling in the street under a car just to get my "protection" back.
I wonder if a bungee cord would help.

overhaul to the investigations and prosecutions of cops. Let's assume they shot him by mistake, something I don't believe. But so what? People are held accountable for bad judgement all the time. They need to pay a price when their bad judgement injures or kills people. These cases need to be handled by outside prosecutors.

This shit won't stop until a bunch of these cops are fired and blacklisted, and/or go to prison.

Let's assign some of those overzealous prosecutors who will do anything to get another notch on their briefcase to prosecute these cops who kill unarmed civilians. They work for us, they are not gods.

and/or go to prison. No, not when they shoot an unarmed citizen, dead.

They should be executed. Every last one of them. If it comes to that, every last copper on the scene at the time. That's how it works for bank robbers even if the person who drove them to the scene of the crime, knew nothing about their intentions.

Also, DA's whose actions manifestly encourage this slaughter with impunity, should be incarcerated 'at Her Majesty's Pleasure', as as we used to call life imprisonment without parole in the UK. It looks like they and their many civilian supporters are bringing down God's judgment on your country. Not to speak of the arch-culprits, the politicians.
