Good catch! And I fancy myself a grammar bully. I had changed the wording of that line and forgot to change the spelling accordingly. Mt misteak!

And I just read something this AM that I've been wondering about for some time. With the relentless increase in CO2, and the inevitability of an explosive surge in methane levels, what happens to the oxygen we need to breathe?

Turns out a few people with the knowledge and expertise to measure these phenomena have been wondering the same thing, and their conclusions ain't pretty. One of the major sources of oxygen are phytoplankton. If the oceans get too much warmer, say, 6 degrees Celsius, a massive die-off of phytoplankton is a virtual certainty. That alone could spell disaster. But combine it with the grossly irresponsible burning of rain forests in Brazil, Indonesia, and parts of Africa, and mass extinctions become a very real possibility.

This isn't necessarily a problem for posterity. The Republican position has always been, "Screw 'em! What has posterity ever done for me?" To these pathologically selfish swine I would say, "Well, tell that to the "posterity" sitting across the breakfast table from you. Because it is very likely to be YOUR children that will die of suffocation - if they don't starve first - because of your greed and stupidity. Hell, you might even live long enough to share their fate."

We are rapidly approaching a point where just shaking our heads when assholes like Inhofe throw snowballs on the Senate floor is no longer an option. These evil monsters have to be stopped. Now.

We should have an emoticon for crickets chirping.

this image they might start becoming afraid of the damage they are causing. Because, for patriarchal bullies it's way too easy to beat up on the feminine (Mother Earth) in this patriarchal system.
