Despite What Corporate Media Tells You, Bernie Sanders’ Positions Are Mainstream
Sen. Bernie Sanders, the presidential candidate for the Democratic nomination, has trouble being taken seriously by the corporate media, what with him being a democratic socialist and all.
If you go to Google News and put in his name, you get headlines about him being nothing more than a protest candidate, or having odd views, or promoting dark age economics.
But Sanderss positions are quite mainstream from the point of view of the stances of the American public in general. Of course, the 1 percent, for whom and by whom most mainstream media report, are appalled and would like to depict him as an outlier.

The way things have been going, medical care and higher education are logical, and even necessary additions. We already have public education for pre-K through 12th grade.
I think that maybe you have bought into the corporate media propaganda that says Socialism is all bad!
Capitalism is good to as long as it is well regulated, but the corporate and Plutocratic campaign Donors have pushed the meme that regulations are the problem. When coupled with the dramatic cuts to our regulatory system, where the regulatory agencies cannot regulate their industries because they get little money and are headed by industry insiders, this leads to things like the petrochemical industry self regulating. This is what we have now and that is why we have things like the Gulf oil spill, coal and other mining slurry pits draining into our rivers, and the increases in mining, drilling, and refining accidents as well as illegal polluters.
You might want to take the blinders off, you will see better.
