Don’t be fooled by Sanders: he’s a diehard communist - preview of GOP propaganda if Bernie get's the

... nomination.

You weren't expecting the GOP to play fair, were you? They will pull out all the stops in their propaganda assault on Sir Good-at-Heart Bernie Sanders....

And this demonization works. Look no further than the Bernie fans total belief of the GOP's demonization of Hillary Clinton. They've got Bernie fans thinking Hillary Clinton is the consort of the devil (look at how many ridiculous things Bernie fans assert about Hillary! -- Hell, without repeating GOP Big Lies about Clinton, how much of a campaign would they have? - just take a look at GD - Primaries!).

ONce the GOP get started they'll have people believing Bernie's gonna build a Kremlin on the Potomac and confiscate everybody's pick-up trucks!

Don’t be fooled by Bernie Sanders — he’s a diehard communist[/font]

In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies.

After failed runs for Congress, Sanders in 1981 managed to get elected mayor of Burlington, Vt., where he restricted property rights for landlords, set price controls and raised property taxes to pay for communal land trusts. Local small businesses distributed fliers complaining their new mayor “does not believe in free enterprise.”

His radical activities didn’t stop at the water’s edge.

Sanders took several “goodwill” trips not only to the USSR, but also to Cuba and Nicaragua, where the Soviets were trying to expand their influence in our hemisphere.

In 1985, he traveled to Managua to celebrate the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. He called it a “heroic revolution.” Undermining anti-communist US policy, Sanders denounced the Reagan administration’s backing of the Contra rebels in a letter to the Sandinistas.

His betrayal did not end there. Sanders lobbied the White House to stop the proxy war and even tried to broker a peace deal. He adopted Managua as a sister city and invited Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega to visit the US. He exalted Ortega as “an impressive guy,” while attacking President Reagan.

Why do you think GOP pols are campaigning for Bernie now? Because the last person they want to face is Hillary Clinton. And because if Bernie is the nominee they'll burn him alive with disinformation. Don't believe it? Just look at how much disinformation Bernie's fans believe and repeat about Hillary Clinton over on GD - Primaries. IT's almost everything they say!

Republican Operatives Try to Help Bernie Sanders: "We'll win every state if Bernie's their nominee"

Republican operatives are having a strange crush on Bernie Sanders.

During Sunday night’s Democratic debate, the Republican National Committee made the unusual move of sending no fewer than four real-time e-mails to reporters defending the self-described democratic socialist from attacks by Hillary Clinton or echoing his message against her. Based on their content, one could be forgiven for thinking the RNC communiques came from the Sanders campaign.

One RNC e-mail, which was titled “Clinton’s Misleading Health Care Attack,” defended the Vermont senator from what it described as “the Clinton campaign’s inaccurate remarks on Sanders’ single-payer plan,” and quoted news articles that featured rebuttals of her arguments. A second message countered Clinton’s attacks on Sanders over gun control by pointing out her gun-friendly statements in the past. Two other e-mails sought to bolster Sanders’ case that Clinton is too close to Wall Street and the drug industry.

~~
~~

Meanwhile, American Crossroads, a group co-founded by Karl Rove, is airing an ad in Iowa bolstering a core tenet of Sanders’s case against Clinton: that she has received large sums of campaign contributions from Wall Street, and therefore can't be trusted to crack down on big banks. “Hillary rewarded Wall Street with a $700 billion bailout, then Wall Street made her a multi-millionaire,” a narrator in the ad says. “Does Iowa really want Wall Street in the White House?”

Sanders Supporters Must Stop Repeating GOP Lies About Hillary Clinton - a Sanders supporter's appeal

I belong to a number of pro-Bernie Sanders groups on social media, and the sheer volume of anti-Hillary posts by individuals from conspiracy or conservative websites is staggering. These people link Breitbart, Infowars, March Against Monsanto, The Daily Caller and other websites to make their claim that Hillary Clinton is the worst person ever – or that President Obama was a gay prostitute in his younger days.

As I have repeatedly stated before, I am a Bernie Sanders supporter, despite our minor differences on science and genetic technology. I switched from No Party Affiliation to Democrat for the first time in years, simply so that I could vote for Bernie.

Republican Super-PACs have spent $5 million attacking Clinton (from the left) boosting Bernie

Karl Rove’s American Crossroads recently created an ad parroting Senator Bernie Sanders’s critiques of Mrs. Clinton’s ties to Wall Street, made repeatedly last week in the days before Sunday’s debate.

~~

All of it, of course, is intended to ... promote the Democratic candidate they believe would be weaker in a general election. Republican groups and super PACs have spent nearly $5 million targeting Mrs. Clinton so far this cycle.

They have been at war with her for more than two decades. While they've won many suckers among the BErnie fans, they still have not been successful in killing off Hillary. They know who they want as an opponent and it's Sanders. They don't have the "He's a Commie in Socialist Clothing" meme to use on Clinton. I LOVE Bernie and supported him from the outset, but there comes a point where you have to accept reality. The GOP has barely started on Bernie and they have been sliming Hillary for 25 years. In other words, they have already pounded Hillary as far down as they probably can. If Bernie gets the nomination, you will see the slime flying like never before from the GOP.
So, before you totally demonize Hillary, you better understand that Bernie's poll numbers will take a serious hit if he becomes the nominee. The question you need to ask yourself is if you honestly think he can withstand the sliming he will get. We know they can't do much more to hurt Hillary. We are the only ones that can do that.
I suggest you THINK about that before you make her out to be the devil.

The GOP of Vermont was unable to hurt him. As a matter of fact it was quite common to see pro-Bernie signs in the same yards as pro-Conservative signs. Bernie has an appeal across partisan lines that Hillary does not have. I am not worried about the hit jobs the GOP operatives might try.

While true, Bernie will face more forces than Hillary because of Wall Street, I see no reason why Bernie can't fight through it with honesty, transparency and by stickung to his populist beliefs.

Why do you think Sanders moved there from Brooklyn? It's even bluer than New York. OF COURSE the GOP was not able to hurt him in Vermont. They did not even try. In fact, NRA actually ran ads against his pro-gun control GOP opponent - that's how Sanders got into Congress. Sanders then voted against the Brady Bill 5 times and for the NRA's most sought after legislation to give gun manufacturers special immunities, the PLCAA. I'd say the GOP were pretty happy with what they could get in Vermont.

someone who, the GOP would make sure, couldn't get elected.

There of course, are some other serious considerations. Even if Bernie could get elected, he's 74 yrs old now. Could he survive one whole term in the most killing job on Earth? If he did survive, would he not be bright enough to say, "NO" to a second term, knowing as he, at that time would be 78. He certainly would realize that he likely would not 'see' his 82nd birthday if he tried to serve a second term. --- Handling the Presidency is tough enough but fighting the degenerate GOP all the while makes it even tougher.

What you highlight simply asserts what I am questioning. Moreover, while I won't deny that a fellow Sandernista goes off the reservation now and then, I don't think there is anything wrong with pointing out that Mrs. Clinton gets a lot of money from Wall Street banks and has consistently defended their misbehavior and supported legislation that decriminalizes that misbehavior. If she isn't bought, it's only because she's just plain wrong where Senator Sanders has been right.

Sorry, but democratic socialism is the socialism of western European democracies and resembles Stalinism about as much as a homo sapiens resembles a corporation. I know there are some people who need to be told there's a difference, but I have faith in the people to believe than most know the difference and won't be fooled by liars who try to tell them otherwise.

We know that Bernioe's democratic socialism is better than neoliberalism and crony capitalism. All that the latter has brought us is NSA spying, an incredibly disappearing middle class, income inequality and pointless wars.

In short, your answer is unsatisfactory. What makes you think the children of Joe McCarthy's Cold War hysteria can still sell that garbage when the surrogates of Bill Clinton's neoliberal wife can't?

And Hillary and Bill's pandering speeches to their Corporate Funders are going to surface, surely "get unpacked' once she gets the nomination. Hillary's 47% speech is there, plenty of Koch-Rove allies were in her audiences, and it's just plain naive to think that
that bombshell (more likely bombshells) won't drop once the Dems are inescapably locked into her.

Sanders "dirty Commie laundry" has had plenty of attention already with little impact and actually shows he's been right all along. The pile of Hillary's "dirty Neoliberal laundry&quot and plenty of Repubs despise it as "crony capitalism&quot just keeps growing and growing; that's been one of the, I think, underestimated sources of oppositions to Hillary and even shed plenty of public shade on Bill's presidency and the Clinton Foundation.

Sanders is our FDR for the 21st century, the century we're living in now btw, where Bernie's Dem Socialism operates in Western Europe (with high customer satisfaction) and has charismatic, massively popular supporters from the Pope to the new PM of Canada.

What a GOP campaign against Bernie Sanders might look like: "When did you stop being a Communist?"
In a sense, this seems so obvious to me that it feels peculiar to argue for it. But Sanders supporters do not give the impression that they are cognizant of Sander's vulnerabilities.

~~
~~

Partly this is because the GOP has been very careful so far not to go after Sanders. They show every indication of preferring him as an opponent, so they have no reason to hurt his chances in the primary.

But if he wins, they will rain down fire.

And the organs of the right will feel absolutely no obligation to be fair. They're not going to be saying, like Sanders's Democratic critics, "Aw, Bernie, you dreamer."

~~
~~

They're going to ask when he stopped being a communist, and when he objects that he was never a communist they're going to ask why he's so defensive about his communist past, why he's so eager to avoid the questions that have been raised, the questions that people are talking about.

No one naive enough to take that steer manure the least bit seriously is voting for Trump anyway. It isn't likely to get a waive a new converts going forward. It's no more credible than than Derrell Issa's spin on Benghazi.

The thought of sixth consecutive neoliberal president who will pursue the same policies that have plagued America since Reagan scares me. The thought of a democratic socialist in the White House trying to set the country back on the right track is one I find comforting.

You are using scare tactics and it is a colossal failure.

"Just a few weeks ago, reports broke that Bill Clinton had flown at least 11 times on “The Lolita Express” — a private plane owned by the mysterious financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. According to Virginia Roberts, who claims to have been one of Epstein’s many teenage sex slaves, Clinton also visited Epstein’s private Caribbean retreat, known as “Orgy Island.”

“I remember asking Jeffrey, ‘What’s Bill Clinton doing here?’” Roberts said in 2011. The former president, she added, was accompanied by four young girls during his stay — two of whom were among Epstein’s regular sex partners. “And [Jeffrey] laughed it off and said, ‘Well, he owes me a favor.’ He never told me what favors they were.”

Fascist? No problem. Communist? Hair-on-fire witch-hunts.

The GOP wouldn't need to make a case against Bernie. They would just ride the red baiting to victory.

“You know, in virtually all of the general election match-up polls between Trump and Secretary Clinton and Trump and Bernie Sanders, in almost all of those polls, I do better than Secretary Clinton,” Sanders said in a debate Thursday night, crediting his appeal across party lines.

And, as Sanders noted, polls of the general election tend to show him racking up larger leads against his Republican rivals than Clinton would.

Many of us ALREADY knew this!
