How MM prevented the Republicans' attempt to close the Congressional Office of Ethics

https://www.facebook.com/mmflint
ACTION ALERT to My
RAPID RESPONSE TEAMS
Friends - Today and tomorrow the Republicans are going to try to ram through confirmation of the worst-ever nominee for Attorney General: Alabama bigot, Jeff Sessions. He was the first -- and for a long time, the only -- Senator to endorse Donald Trump for president. Now Trump is trying to reward him by making him the head of our criminal justice system! Your Senators MUST hear from you today (most of their offices are open between 9am and 6PM ET, but the switchboard is open 24/7 and can connect you to their voicemail). Please call the U.S. Senate at 202-225-3121 and ask to speak to one of your State's two senators (if you don't know your Senators' names, just tell the operator the State you're from and she/he will connect you directly to their offices. If you don't know the State you're from, stop reading this and unfollow me).Let your Senator know that you are STRONGLY opposed to Sessions being named Attorney General. He is anti-civil rights, he is opposed to the Voting Rights Act and he voted against the Matthew Shepherd gay discrimination act.

The Senate confirmation hearing began this morning and will continue tomorrow. So you must call now. And when you are done with the first of your Senators, hang up, call the main number back - 292-225-3131 - and ask to speak to the second Senator from your State. This has to happen NOW!

Last week, at my request, you flooded the Capitol switchboard to oppose the Republicans' attempt to close the Congressional Office of Ethics (Rep. Cleaver from Missouri said your thousands of calls were like "an avalanche&quot . We succeeded in stopping them in just 3 hours! Let's do it again.

Call/text/email/Facebook/DM your Rapid Response Team NOW. If you haven't formed a Rapid Response Team, do so this morning. All you have to do is commit to calling, texting or e-mailing an urgent notice to 5-10 of your friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers or classmates whenever an urgent matter is before us in protecting the country from an admitted sociopath. So, today, that means you and your Team calling the U.S. Senate, 202-225-3121, and telling your Senators to VOTE AGAINST Jeff Sessions for Attorney General whenever he comes up for a vote. If you get a busy signal, keep trying.

Thanks! And never forget -- he lost by 3 million votes! Our fellow Americans were very clear: They did NOT want Donald Trump as their president. WE are the majority.
We cannot remain silent this morning as a malignant narcissist tries to anoint a man committed to white privilege as our Attorney General.

CALL NOW: 202-225-3121. I just did.

An incredibly narrow loss. I'm glad Moore is an activist on the same side as me. We need all the allies we can get.

BUT, during the primary Moore pushed the same kind of lies about Hillary Clinton as the right wing did, trying to help Sanders win the primary. And he pushed the dishonest, untrustworthy, sellout to Wall Street themes hard and often.

My question is, with our losses so astonishingly slim, would we have WON if Moore had not sabotaged Hillary Clinton? His opinion is trusted by many who ultimately voted against her or didn't vote at all. Would we be celebrating a Democratic senate majority and the inauguration of President Hillary Clinton now, looking hopefully into a future of rebuilding a healthy, prosperous America, if only Moore had been more principled and responsible?

Given their dreadful consequences, to me Moore's sins are unforgivable and unforgettable, but all we can do is move on and work together, and be glad he's once again pulling with us.

didn't leave blank ballots. He didn't sabotage Hillary. He was involved with polling his home area, talked to people and noticed what was going to happen because the race was as he said months ago so close. Both Clintons are friends with MM. Bill once told him, "I'm your biggest fan" & Hillary said, no Bill "I am."

We Ds, the entire D party need MM type of passion, the loud resistance or Republicans current fiction version will overwhelm us. We need to demand transparency, demand a free press is allowed to question our government.

Agree, we sure do. Coupled with Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton ethics. Tough, practical politicians both, but honorable overall. And both are all-in people, supporting the principles and goals of our party, no wobbling, no turning and shooting into the center.
