Trump is a threat to national security - By Jennifer Rubin

By Jennifer Rubin February 14 at 11:00 AM

The Post reported that on Saturday at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, he and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, informed of a North Korean missile launch, “turned their dinner table into an open-air situation room. Aides and translators surrounded the two leaders as other diners chatted and gawked around them, with staffers using the flashlights on their cellphones to illuminate documents on the darkened outdoor terrace.” Moreover, the report continued, “The two leaders could have discussed classified documents within earshot of waiters and club patrons. Those cellphones-turned-flashlights might also have been a problem: If one of them had been hacked by a foreign power, the phone’s camera could have provided a view of what the documents said.”

Numerous Democrats expressed outrage. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) excoriated the president. “I’d say, Donald Trump talks about making America secure — security begins at home,” he said to reporters. “He never should have had such a sensitive discussion in such a public place.”

Appearing on “Meet the Press Daily,” the ranking member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Adam Schiff (Calif.), said “of course” it concerned him that Trump was conducting an “open-air situation room” discussion. He was also concerned about what documents they may have been looking at on their cellphones. He said this was “all the more appalling” because this was the team that lambasted Hillary Clinton for her home email server.

Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Tom Udall (D-N.M.) jointly released a statement blasting the president: “During the campaign, we listened to month upon month of Donald Trump complaining about the handling of important national security information. We’ve had years of inconclusive investigations by House Republicans over emails and classified documents. Now we have unknown and unvetted Mar-a-Lago members looking over the President’s shoulder as he conducts our foreign policy.” They added, “This is America’s foreign policy, not this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. We urge our Republican colleagues to start taking this Administration’s rash and unprofessional conduct seriously before there are consequences we all regret.”

It just proves that they didn't give a damn about emails. Just as we all knew, it was all bullshit politics. Once again, it's power and party over country every single time. Jennifer Rubin is a conservative and she gets it, why not anybody else?!?
