Trump Rehashes Campaign, Makes No Mention Of Comey Testimony In KY Rally

President Donald Trump on Monday night omitted any mention of FBI Director James Comey's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, opting instead to rehash talking points from the campaign trail.

At a rally in Louisville, Kentucky, Trump promised to "deliver amazing things for the citizens of Kentucky and the United States."

He brought up his upset win in the Electoral College; said the situation in North Korea is "disgraceful and not smart, not smart at all"; and pledged to "drain the swamp of government corruption in Washington, D.C.," just days after he nominated yet another Goldman Sachs alumnus to a senior position in his administration.

Trump urged Republican and Democratic senators alike to "swiftly approve" Neil Gorsuch, his nominee to fill the empty seat on the Supreme Court. Trump praised Gorsuch as a "justice who will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Missing from Trump's remarks was any mention of Comey's long-awaited testimony confirming the existence of an ongoing FBI investigation into whether members of Trump's presidential campaign coordinated with the Russian government during the 2016 campaign.
