Kushners Face Heated Trial Over Suburban New Jersey Mall Project

WASHINGTON (AP) — Days after a seaside reception for his father-in-law’s presidential campaign, Jared Kushner set out to pitch a deal to a small-town mayor: Kushner Cos. would transform an aging shopping mall into a live-work destination, bringing culture and commerce to a scraggy stretch of the Jersey Shore.

The mayor, a retired police officer, viewed it as a brilliant offer his town couldn’t refuse. But hundreds of Eatontown residents turned out in opposition, packing borough council meetings last year to protest the Monmouth Mall expansion as a giveaway to Kushner.

Kushner soon won approval to build 700 apartments atop his mall parking lot as part of a $300 million expansion deal— an agreement that now is the subject of a heated lawsuit set for trial Monday.

In Jersey City, the Kushners had hoped for a 30-year local tax break for two residential towers, but residents took to the streets in February and the family recently withdrew its application. Farther down the shore, in Perth Amboy, the status also is shaky. The Kushners have been pressing the city to approve a downsized version of a 22-building waterfront community the family promised years ago, but that is uncertain given resentment over stalled construction and a lawsuit from condo investors who feel misled.

In Eatontown, the Kushners are giving every sign that their Monmouth Mall development is secure. Residents say land surveyors started digging into neighbors’ front lawns despite the impending trial.

2. And whats really remarkable, my wife's family has a shore house

and they keep complaining about the property taxes, and since they are very conservative, I keep "explaining" to them, who do you think supports the Kushers and the sexual predator of this state, if they don't pay any taxes, you do, and they just look at me, not only do you pay your state taxes, but your paying these slime balls taxes, do you think that is fair to you?

Its like they can just run rough shod because they have the preconceived idea, that they are the have's and they can screw the have not's..................it is just amazing.

They had a "guy" build a house two doors down from my in-laws, and he just thought from what I gathered that he could do whatever, on the wetland side, and this other neighbor went back to the town council and said whats going on here, and won



I don't know, I think that he may lose, people are really pissed off over here on the Eastern Shore, and New Jersey particular after the thing with Christie, just continuing doing is dance of arrogance and blaming everyone but himself and his minions as the problem. He did after all shut down a new tunnel project, that would have created a lot of jobs, and a better way to get into NYC .

4. I have this basic concept since 1960's and 1970's moving forward

when I was protesting the police action of Nam, we are coming .............and we are the pressure, and we need to support those that support us, and the press, that supports us, ---------------the Kushers and the trumps of the world are nothing more than sleazeballs
