BTRTN Election Day Predictions: New Jersey and Virginia Looking Blue
The gang at BTRTN with their Election Day predictions:

"This being an off-off year, there are no Senate or House elections on Election Day and, most unfortunately, the Presidential race is another three years off. In terms of nationally prominent elections, there are two gubernatorial races, one in New Jersey, to replace the departing Republican Chris Christie, a man who has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in his tenure, and the other in Virginia, where Democrat Terry McAuliffe is stepping down, like Christie, because term limits precludes him from running again.
The Democrats will be extremely disappointed if they do not sweep both races, as these are both blue states, and thus flip New Jersey and defend Virginia. The Virginia race is the closer of the two and may be shaping up as the real referendum on Trump. New Jersey seems to be shaping up more as a referendum on the wildly unpopular Christie..."

(1,415 posts)"Tom is a data-obsessed forecaster with a long track record of accurate predictions. Since 2008 he has predicted 2,130 races, including each of the 56 states/districts in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Presidential elections, as well as each Senate race since 2008, each House race since 2010 and each Governor race since 2014. Of those 2,130, he has been correct 2,051 times, or 96.3% (the figure was 96.6% for the 2016 elections). These are comparable figures to those of other poll aggregators. Yup, including Nate."
