MUST READ -- Donald Trump Didn't Want to Be President by Michael Wolff

I haven't actually finished the whole thing.
It worse than we imagined.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/01/michael-wolff-fire-and-fury-book-donald-trump.html

Election Night: It “looked as if he had seen a ghost.”

“This is bigger than I ever dreamed of,” he told Ailes a week before the election. “I don’t think about losing, because it isn’t losing. We’ve totally won.”

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Night, when the unexpected trend — Trump might actually win — seemed confirmed, Don Jr. told a friend that his father, or DJT, as he calls him, looked as if he had seen a ghost. Melania was in tears—and not of joy.

Murdoch suggested that taking a liberal approach to H-1B visas, which open America’s doors to select immigrants, might be hard to square with his promises to build a wall and close the borders. But Trump seemed unconcerned, assuring Murdoch, “We’ll figure it out.”

“What a fucking idiot,” said Murdoch, shrugging, as he got off the phone.

...he's not totally stupid. He knew there was a possibility that all his previous nefarious actions and deeds could see the light of day.

He also knew, at that time, that Putin* had him firmly by the nuts, and his nastly ol' orange ass WAS OWNED.

Said very clearly he did not want this win.

He looked like someone beat him before he came out to the stage. He hid it better as he got going but the look on his face when he came out said it all.

“I commented on that immediately” to Mr West. We were watching MSNBC that evening, and when they were walking down those steps onto the stage, that whole family had grim faces, you could SEE them thinking “oh, shit....”. I have contended since that moment they never thought he’d win. HIS face especially - there was no smile, no joy, not even gloating - for a guy who likes winning so much - just dawning realization that their plan had backfired spectacularly and the shit was deep now. That’s why their crimes were so rampant and blatant, they never thought he’d win, never counted on being scrutinized so closely.

Remind me of the rumored signed divorce agreement, contingent on him losing, and her relationship with the Tiffany's head of security. Also, how she did not move to DC until the summer and only agreed to do so if her parents came along.

The GOP is going to pass a lot of bad policy, and ultimately, blame it on Trump in the years to come.

He's constantly whining about "rigged elections" and mistreatment by "fake news". The poor, trod-upon teabaggers eat that shit up. They think he's fighting back. He is a hero to them.

By losing the election, he could ride professional victimhood all the way to financial solvency by selling his cheap crap to the idiot masses. Like Palin (also a loser), the news media would continue to still check with him on a regular basis to keep his name and face on the tube. And he'd never have to miss a single day on the golf course.

8. Trump never heard of John Boehner
Wed Jan 3, 2018, 04:55 PM
Jan 2018
Ailes, a veteran of the Nixon, Reagan, and Bush 41 administrations, tried to impress on Trump the need to create a White House structure that could serve and protect him. “You need a son of a bitch as your chief of staff,” he told Trump. “And you need a son of a bitch who knows Washington. You’ll want to be your own son of a bitch, but you don’t know Washington.” Ailes had a suggestion: John Boehner, who had stepped down as Speaker of the House only a year earlier.

“Who’s that?” asked Trump.

I'm buying this book on Jan 9th. Thanks for sharing- the entire article is astounding.

him when the news broke. He was SHOCKED! Everyone else, including his family, were all smiling. He only ran because it was an ego trip and he just wanted to make money off of it. It was a publicity stunt. He never really wanted all the work, responsibility, etc that the job entails.

He will be kicked out of office. He will not resign, unless it is forced on him. But he will be kicked out.

He will not go to jail. He will sit and rot in his tower, germaphobic, terrified of being poisoned, dependent on Ivanka, solitary.

His orange hair and his fingernails will grow long.

He will go into periodic rages. He won't be tweeting. At long last, twitter will ban his crazy orange ass.

of both the book and the author, I don’t think I’ll buy it either. As much as I cannot WAIT for the tell-all book to come out, I don’t think this is it. Apparently he even states in the book that HE isn’t certain of how true some of it is. Seems like a lot of uncorroborated hearsay and gossip. I’ll wait for Rachel’s book! ( there HAS to be one!)

With Russia's help, with comey's help, and with the help of the racist 25% of our country, he actually was elected. At some point he decided it might be cool to be president. I suspect he had a lot of people whispering in his ear about the power and the status he would have. Meanwhile, they've been whispering advice that led to the Muslim ban, the repeated attempts to repeal Obamacare, the tax ripoff scheme, letting DACA relapse, etc.
