Farmers keep asking why Donald Trump is hurting them on trade when they helped elect him. The better question is: Why did they help elect him?

they need to suffer a bit to see that being a single-family or dual-issue voter isn't a wise way to go. Maybe they will learn to listen to policies of candidates instead of pithy, fourth-grade leave sound bytes. I feel no sympathy for them, but hope that they change their way of thinking because of this.
