Is because his parents were sitting behind him. I cannot imagine what his father must have been thinking, as I'm sure that he knows the truth about his son. How humiliated would any of us be having to put on that kind of a circus of perfidy with our Dads sitting behind us watching this shit show play out across the nation.

When Kavanaugh said that his family had been destroyed, were those the words of his father echoing in his ears ?

I'm guessing they were probably unprepared for that shit-show. The crying and sniveling was (I thought) calculated to get sympathy from the women in the audience. But Lindsey Graham punched it down with his firestorm, and it turned Kavanaugh around 180 degrees. In no time he became an angry arrogant bully, and we're all going WTF??!

I'm guessing that Cheeto sent a private text or tweet to Graham and told him to "Put a stop to this immediately!" Which he did. Probably Cheeto is going to take all the credit as soon as this is over.
