Final call to save the world from 'climate catastrophe'

By Matt McGrath Environment correspondent, Incheon, South Korea

It's the final call, say scientists, the most extensive warning yet on the risks of rising global temperatures.

Their dramatic report on keeping that rise under 1.5 degrees C says the world is now completely off track, heading instead towards 3C.

Keeping to the preferred target of 1.5C above pre-industrial levels will mean "rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society".

It will be hugely expensive - but the window of opportunity remains open.

3 Ways Monsanto Contributes to Climate Chaos and World Hunger

Monsanto claims that GMO farming will support farmers while fighting climate change and drought, but they are in fact a major cause of the problem. Their products are creating the very problem they seek to solve and no amount of denial or PR will hide this from the public for much longer.

They're afraid their ratings will drop because people are cowards and just want to hear cheery fair tales.

In developed countries that footprint is great no matter how much we try to conserve. So logically, is making more humans hunky-dory?

Even if they are not in power, they will obstruct from the sidelines. Without the United States on board, the planet is doomed.
