Mayor of London Editorial

theguardian.com

Praising the “very fine people on both sides” when torch-wielding white supremacists and antisemites marched through the streets clashing with anti-racist campaigners. Threatening to veto a ban on the use of rape as a weapon of war. Setting an immigration policy that forcefully separates young children from their parents at the border. The deliberate use of xenophobia, racism and “otherness” as an electoral tactic. Introducing a travel ban to a number of predominately Muslim countries. Lying deliberately and repeatedly to the public.

Highly intelligent man. He sees the "writing on the wall" that most in the gop refuse to see. This country had better wake up - SOON. It will be too late if he is allowed to continue as an illegitimate president. tRump is being protected, but by whom? Putin, the traitors in the gop, the not-so Supreme Court? All of them? Today Franklin Graham, the man of God with several private jets, is organizing a Day of Prayer for tRump. Graham claims Mrs. 'naked porn star, escort" tRump is the most refined first lady EVER. He has to be as addled brained as tRump, or is afraid a REAL president might revoke his tax free status.

the Russians have by the balls. My theory is if they can hack into the DNC's database, they certainly could've hacked into the RNC's as well, and probably uncovered a treasure trove of stuff to blackmail people like Mcconnell, Ryan, Barr & Graham with. Even Romney has come out in recent days saying the most absurd things about Justin Amash' stance that the Idiot has committed impeachable crimes. The about-face is stunningly clear, and it's also blatant they are not interested in upholding their sworn duty to protect the Constitution and the democracy it guarantees. They are protecting the Idiot and world's greatest con man who the Russians have installed. Horrifying.

What is happening is far too reminiscent of the run up to WWII as when the fascist demagogues too advantage of economic and social change to seize control of the governments of the democratic governments of those of Germany, Italy, Spain and Austria. The phony promises are the same. The only difference is the scapegoats. The story is as old as time and no different than the condemnation of Socrates for the Athenians' problems.

I understand that much of London holds him (Mayor Kahn) in high esteem. I wonder how England/UK does overall.

7. The Mayor of London is of Pakistani ancestry?

Whoa. I wasn't aware of that. I have a view of Great Britain that it is more racist than America. I just got that impression over the years.

Maybe London, being the big city like NY is in the U.S., is more cosmopolitan. In any case, that's pretty cool. I wonder if America has any Pakistani mayors?
