Every 40 seconds a child goes missing in the United States, accounting for 765,000 missing children a year, according to the FBI. Since US Marshals partnered with NCMEC in 2005, the agency has recovered more than 1,800 missing children.

if you watch the media, you'd think most of the people that go missing are white people.

THAT IS FALSE!

For example, at the same time Laci Peterson went missing, a Hispanic woman went missing under similar circumstances, but guess who got all the publicity.
