Foreign trolls attended confidential meeting in the Danish parliament

A person who pretended to be the Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, attended a deeply confidential virtual meeting of the Danish Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee. At this meeting, the current political situation in Belarus was discussed and how the Belarusian people can be supported in their fight for democracy and human rights.

When the meeting started, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and her staff allegedly had problems with the camera and it was therefore not possible to see her. During the meeting, the participants became aware that something was wrong after weird comments and questions from "Tikhanovskaya". Then the board aborted the meeting.

- This might just be a silly stunt, maybe from a radio. Though a fake website were used to lure the parliamentarians to accept this visit, the fake Tikhanovskaya seemed badly prepared.
