Bolsonaro Threatens the Supreme Court with A Coup during September 7 Demonstrations

President uses the September 7th demonstration to go all out on his threats

Sep.8.2021 2:26PM

In speeches before thousands of supporters this Tuesday (7) in Brasília and São Paulo, President Jair Bolsonaro made coup threats against the Federal Supreme Federal Court, urged disobedience against court decisions, and said he would only leave the Presidency dead.

In the morning, on the Esplanade of Ministries, Bolsonaro made a direct threat to the president of the Supreme Court, Minister Luiz Fux. "Either the head of this Power [Fux] frames his [minister] or that Power can suffer what we don't want," he said, referring to Moraes' recent decisions against Bolsonaristas.

Tuesday's actions were dominated by coup speeches by the president and by banners, posters, and authoritarian and undemocratic shouts from his supporters. The Supreme Court was the main target.

In the afternoon, on Avenida Paulista, he urged disobedience to court decisions. "We must, because I speak on your behalf, determine that all political prisoners be set free. Alexandre de Moraes, that president will no longer comply. Our people's patience has already run out," Bolsonaro said. "[I want] to tell the scoundrels that I will never be arrested," said the president, who continued. "Either this minister fits in or he asks to leave. It cannot be admitted that one person, one man, only cloud our freedom."

Still in Paulista, as he has said in speeches in the interior of the country, Bolsonaro stated that the only options for him are to be arrested, to be killed, or to victory, affirming in sequence, however, that he will never be arrested." To say to those who want to make me ineligible in Brasília: only God can get me out of there."

(His opponent, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, is the most beloved President Brazil has ever had. Have read that his support has been steady at landslide levels, but Bolsonaro is supported by violent people who have been calling for a return to dictatorship for years, along with Bolsonaro. They are ultra racist, hating both the indigenous Brazilians and the many descendents of African slaves. Brazil had an enormous popuation of slaves they forced to give their lives to them, and U.S. plantation owners, because of the Civil War, moved, along with their "property slaves" to Brazil to continue using them, and estabished their own confederacy community there. Brazil has been allied with fascists for a very long time.

It looks pretty crazy, right now. People of conscience would really care to see Lula return to Brazil's Presidency. He is desperately needed. Hope like crazy he has enough protection. Bolsonaro set him up before the last campaign, framed him to get him in prison so he couldn't run, and he wasn't released until after an investigation proved he was absolutely NOT guilty.)

Headline in Latin America forum:

88 Tactical, Militarized Police, and a Looming Coup in Brazil

Brazil is currently on high alert amid signs its fascist leader is planning a “self coup” to despotically seize and retain power. Bolsonaro loyalists have had years of training from Omaha’s 88 Tactical and US law enforcement.
