The stock market’s down. GDP is on life-support. Jobs numbers are cratering. The economy is tanking.

And you can bet Republicans will jump on this disaster to push their starve the beast strategy of making government even more ineffective so they can justify gutting it even more. Why? So they can give million dollar tax cuts to millionaires, cut regulations on industry and the financial sector, and eliminate Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, student loans, unemployment and virtually anything else that benefits low and middle income Americans.

You’ll be hearing the words “job creators” a lot. And “debt” and “deficits” will be raised like a hoary headed monsters in a 3 year-old’s nightmare.

Austerity and privatization will be chanted like magical incantations. ..................(more)

1. WASN'T EXTENDING THE BUSH TAX CUTS TO RID THE BIZNESS COMMUNITY OF UNCERTAINTY?!?

SO WHERE ARE THE JOBS? i say tax cuts DON'T WORK. why is NOBODY SUGGESTING LOOKING BACK. when taxes were higher and the budget debt was going down, WE HAD JOBS.

Wrong, the only reason Obama got in was because Bush was a glaring failure, and the GOP could not wash his stink off fast enough. But the USA was all too ready to believe it's BS once they realized they elected a black person, and once the GOP completed their wash off, thanks to the "liberal" media. Obama needed to turn left, but sorry to say, his problem was that he did not give America the medicine it needed: fear. He and his friends, the Clintons, were all too ready to believe the bullshit that was in the 90's, that the Empire is worth saving, and that it is needed for the "American Dream" when in reality, Wall Street killed the American Dream of old, and it is time to dream something better.

Obama always avoided blaming the TeaPubliKlans and helped them separate from Bush by blaming Bush but never indicting their failed ideology in the court of public opinion, by assimilating some of their positions, and by reversing very little which allows Bush policy and Obama policy to be melded in to one fuckload of fail in many eyes that are swallowed by 427% of liberals according to some polls that centrists love to push which means Bush and Obama are liberals and it is their liberal policies that wrecked us not TeaPubliKlans who promise to be much more conservative.
