Check Out This Handy Book of Data, Climate Action Networks and Activist Names Worldwide

Especially the "Action + Connection" chapter that offers checklist frameworks for negotiating, frameworks for decisionmaking on projects.

While leaders work from their vantage point, humans can work from their vantage point and meet at new points where human and moneyed interests converge for win-win coordination.

Just the idea of how to get through this downward slide humans are on in one generation -- that alone is a great goal.

I am having a dark day...the kind that make you want to not get out of bed and anything positive or even potentially positive is a big help for me right now.

I appreciate you for this.

I feel ya. Getting through this huge transition period will take a lot out of our spirits. Rest up. Take more frequent breaks from all the noise.

DU's still a good place to find information. Take care, Moos.

No, first we need a supermajority of actual Democrats in the Senate. Since we probably won't get that we won't "address current human needs". Nor will the world as a whole do anything substantive to even slow down climate change. We have four major classes of people. One that has plenty, wants more, and won't give any of it up. One that has sufficient but wants more. One, many of you who have sufficient but are willing to have less. One that has nothing and needs a lot more.

IF you can only operate within an American political context, yes, of course. Or maybe not. Because our political foes have grandchildren, too.

Anyway, this guy, Hawken, is talking about the whole world. Look inside the book and you'll get the names of activists and global action networks. They are working no matter whether we have a democracy or not. Please give that some thought, because without reading this book, you can't credibly way what the world is doing right now.

Because, like the virus, climate don't care about you and your constructs. Climate has dynamics that do not in any way care about borders, social constructs or money.

There is coordination and global communication that can enable innovators on the ground to be SEEN by the richest who are willing to invest in them, because speed and scale are of the essence. Right now. Not at the pace of our electoral cycles.
