Havent we seen this horror movie before?
The Democratic Partys problem in recent decades has been that instead of showing American voters how much its doing for them, it runs away from its programs like its fleeing the scene of the crime.
The last time that happened, the achievement was the Affordable Care Act, which was destined to bring health coverage to 20 million middle- and working-class Americans for the first time and to eradicate the inequities that crushed many more with medical bills.
Make no mistake about this: The Republican leadership today is not against the way we have done the job. The Republican leadership is against the jobs being done.

These toxic talking points were amplified by many (including sitting legislators and high profile personalities) all over twitter. This gave the media the story line it was looking for, and they ran with it.
And of course, it all served to depress the Democratic vote. For two weeks, I've been asking
Cui bono?
And now we have our answer.

(989 posts)Back then, a president could easily captivate and command the attention of the entire nation with his Fireside Chats and rousing speeches.
Back when there were only a few TV channels and fewer radio stations. No Internet. No computers or smartphones. No streaming services. No Facebook or Twitter or TikTok.
Biden and the Democrats don't have the relative luxury of not having to compete with all of our modern distractions and diversions for the attention of the American people. In this respect, the GOP has the upper hand, as their popular propaganda channels as well as right-wing religious leaders and radio personalities have been doing much of their messaging - or is it propaganda-spreading? - for them.
