CRT outrage is about hiding actual history and taking control of culture so that itll become an indoctrination cycle. Deep State/QAnon nonsense is about explaining globalism and de-industrialization through supernatural means.
These are cycles weve seen over and over.

History tells us that when the rich and powerful feel things shifting they employ conspiracy theories to reassert control. Once that happens, they double down on censorship, bring culture and education to order, and use fascistic violence as protection. Its a cycle.

Don't want their children knowing their grandparents and great grandparents behaved that way.
Pretty simple.
Now imagine being offended for 400 years?

(6,182 posts)"Critical Race Theory" is an unfortunate example of the obfuscation of historical facts by the use of scientific terms that are loaded with right-wing knee jerk emotional triggers.
Our history is factual. Slavery was real, and quite brutal. Racism is real, and also quite brutal. The attempts by white supremacists to bury the truth demonstrates just how badly they want to re-write history to exonerate their ancestors from their actions, and dissociate themselves from what actually happened, and is still happening in our country.
The Republicans are very good at defining the playing field when it comes to this sort of stuff. No Democrat should ever use the phrase "Critical Race Theory". It plays right into their hands. That said, historical truth should always be held up in the light so it can be viewed by all.
Schools should teach about our past in terms of historical truth. Children need to know what really happened so they can understand why the world is the way it is today. I think they're certainly ready for this by the time they're in high school.
Failure to do this is a gross disservice to our children, and results in generations of adults who lack the ability to recognize the roots of racial hatred.

Grandmaster's assistant: "Sorry. The 'prisoners with jobs' are revolting.
It's not that he had a problem having 'prisoners with jobs', but actually calling it what it was made him squeamish.
