710 children have died so far from COVID-19. In contrast, from 2020-2022, 4 children died from flu

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1191568/reported-deaths-from-covid-by-age-us/

Top of chart for ages 0-17 pediatric deaths from COVID-19: 710

Total deaths from COVID-19 in the USA so far: 834,954

IN CONTRAST:

https://gis.cdc.gov/GRASP/Fluview/PedFluDeath.html

Chart on right hand side for pediatric influenza deaths

2020-2021 influenza season pediatric deaths: 1
2021-2022 (so far) influenza season pediatric deaths: 3
Therefore, total deaths (according to this source) is 4.

Yea, COVID-19 is JUST LIKE THE FLU /heavy sarcasm off

Quote this post next time some MAGAT idiot/antivax idiot says that seriously wrong meme.

Note: To get the precise source of those COVID-19 stats, you either have to pay up or register as a business. Since I refused to pay and I have no business, I cannot get the precise source, sorry!

COVID is bad, really bad, far worse than the flu, but it's not 350x as deadly.

For pediatric deaths:

-- Flu: 2 years (2018-2019), 343 deaths
-- COVID: 2 years (2020-2022), 710 deaths

That's about 2x the death rate.

So, COVID is far more virulent (dominating and drowning out the flu), and at least 2x as deadly (even with massive national masking and vaccination).

It's really bad.
