IT IS NOT NEWS THAT BILL BARR LIED TO PROTECT KLEPTOCRACY

Let’s talk about what Bill Barr did in his second tenure as Attorney General.

Even before Jeff Sessions was fired, Barr decided — based on the false claims he saw on Fox News — that the allegations against Donald Trump were bullshit. He wrote up a memo suggesting that it was okay for the President to fire the FBI director to cover up his own crimes. And based on that audition, he was nominated and confirmed as Attorney General.

When the investigation into the aftermath of that firing shut down weeks after he was confirmed, Barr lied to downplay the degree to which the President had enthusiastically welcomed the help of a hostile country to get elected. Among the things his lies did was to hide that the investigation into whether Roger Stone conspired with Russia — with Trump’s full knowledge — remained ongoing, a detail that remains unreported everywhere but here. Barr also issued a prosecution declination for crimes still in progress, Trump’s ultimately successful effort to buy the silence of witnesses against him with pardons.

Barr poured whiskey to celebrate his old friend Robert Mueller’s frailty before Congress.

that Barr made, or if it had to do more with the people that back the Federalist Society, and their wants. If you stay well-connected and favorable within that group, you can probably write your own ticket to a successful life - as long as you do their bidding.

As far as Comey, that dude sealed his own fate when he showed his hand, that the FBI favored a Republican president over a woman Democrat. The FBI was so shocked and interested in getting out the details of HRC's emails, but looked the other way on trump. Despite FinCen telling us basically that the trump casino as Taj Mahal, was used as a money laundering facility, and that trump over and over again was found to be an opportunistic grifter. The FBI and Comey knew about trump's character, but Comey decided that his hair would catch fire, if he did not tell us about an email server.

And the American people should demand their money back from the Mueller investigation, and Robert should forever hide out in the shadows, with Cy Vance - both, with their tails between their legs.

It almost feels like Comey and Mueller were a tag team. First release classified derogatory information right before the election. Second have a weasel investigate the guy after he is fired.

They were both played by Trump/Putin.

This is our FBI played by Shorty Putin.

I think all of us walked away with that bitter taste in our mouths. Perhaps it's inevitable that politics color our justice system and some of its determinations, but if we can't keep them separated at the highest levels, we cease to have an operating democracy.

Frankly, when all of the facts are finally known, proven and adjudicated, there are a number of men and women who should likely be marched before a firing squad for their transgressions. That being said, there are far too many areas in our governance that rely on the honor system rather than a true codification of the crimes committed. We are discovering that gentlemen's agreements may have held some water 300 years ago but there are no longer many gentlemen in Washington and the agreements they make tend to be self-serving.

My brain knows we’re talking about Bill Barr and not Bill Burr, but I STILL have to do a mental gymnastic when I see political references to Bill Barr.

... getting "the liberals" upset @ his actions. He stopped the investigations into Iran Contra, he
knew that Russia and Russian mobsters/agents put Trump into power, and he could have given a
warning about the upcoming coup but instead he just left the stage and didn't say anything but at
the meantime he made sure to keep himself clean of any of "the blow back" from an attempted
violent coup which had it succeeded he would have been fine with and would not be selling his
"tell all book" now. His statements now are just deliberate trolling in order to stir up shit.

ie: " Barr lied.......President had enthusiastically welcomed the help of a hostile country to get elected"

We should find a way to tie the entire repug party to Putler/Russia, being as how everyone admires them
right now on the world's stage, especially the guy leading their party.

Why did he go to see Jeffrey Epstein when he was (briefly) in prison in NYC? What did they talk about?
