GOP's violent rhetoric keeps getting worse -- and almost nobody is paying attention

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/gops-violent-rhetoric-keeps-getting-worse-%e2%80%94-and-almost-nobody-is-paying-attention/ar-AAUPVmm?ocid=U483DHP&li=BBnb7Kz

One core tenet of fascism is the normalization of political violence. While the mainstream news media and political elites look away, the Republican fascists and the larger white right have been escalating their threats of violence and mayhem. They did not stop with Trump's coup attempt or the Capitol attack of Jan. 6, 2021.

These threats of right-wing violence and terrorism are not hyperbole; they are both promises and predictions.

I don't want to dismiss the rhetoric, because it is indicative of a major problem, but let's be clear about something:

voter suppression = violence
lack of health care = violence
lack of living wage = violence

Investigating and charging parents for caring for gender dysphoric children is violence.

Separating children from parents at the border is violence.

Praising megalomaniac dictators for invading democracies as "smart geniuses" is violence.

Travelling across state lines to pick up an assault style rifle and shooting three people when there was no need to be there ... violence.

Praising the shooter and giving them a job in a Representatives office is violence.

Destroying the natural world we need to survive by killing oceans, forests, and species large and small.
What could be more violent than that?
