Bruce Willis 'stepping away' from acting after aphasia diagnosis
https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/bruce-willis-retire-aphasia-diagnosis-1.6402544Bruce Willis is stepping away from acting after a diagnosis of aphasia, a condition that causes loss of the ability to understand or express speech, his family announced Wednesday.
In a statement posted on Willis's Instagram page, the 67-year-old actor's family said Willis was recently diagnosed with aphasia and that it is impacting his cognitive abilities.
"As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him," read the statement signed by Willis's wife, Emma Heming Willis, his ex-wife Demi Moore, and his five children, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.

(7,611 posts)1. I watched 'Moonlighting' from the first episode. He was so
amazing. I've always had a soft spot for his talent.
All best wishes.

I had a freakout on acid one time like that - everyone was talking, it got so loud and I could not understand one single word - it was frightening. I thought at the time I'd rather be dead than not able to understand a single word anyone said. I hope it's not like that for him.

He probably knew he wasnt going to be able to make an income from movies for much longer. They are mostly all crap, but I forgive him now that I know why.
