Voice of the people: Democrats get no credit for cleaning up after Republicans

Democrats get no credit for cleaning up after Republicans

It is happening again - right in front of our eyes. After a Republican president screws up the country and the economy, a Democrat comes in and gets things going in the right direction again but gets no credit for it.

How many times has this happened? All the way back to Franklin D. Roosevelt cleaning up after Herbert Hoover and getting things going again after the Great Depression. Bill Clinton getting the economy back up and humming after the doldrums of Ronald Reagan and the first George Bush. Barack Obama getting us back on an even keel after George W. Bush.

Now President Joe Biden settling things down and getting the economy roaring back after the mess left by Donald Trump and despite the pandemic.

And I'm pretty f'ing sick of it, been going on my whole life and I blame this merry-go-round for my life in poverty. I have jumped through every damned hoop and done the dance of the seven fucking veils, refashioned everything about me to fit the mold and still, nothing close to reaching my potential at anything. Anything beyond breathing and not starving for all these decades.

If there was a planet B, I'd go there.
