1. Justice-to-be Jackson will be an exceptional member of SCOTUS

However, her influence on the Court will be limited, at least for the foreseeable future. This is simply because conservatives have a 6-3 majority and they will use that strength to reverse precedents, support restrictive laws and fundamentally erode Americans' rights.

The problems with SCOTUS are all the responsibilities of Republicans. They've achieved much of their draconian agenda and the worst is yet to come.

2. KBJ poses this problem for Republicans: She is smarter on the law than all of the

6 conservatives in aggregate on the Court; and, she has excellent skills in persuasion. She will become the leader of the center position, change votes, and embarrass those who vote stupid positions in the decision.

3. This will only matter if we can flip the balance.

The only conceivable way to do that at this point is to expand SCROTUS.

It has to be done before the mid-terms; time is running out for our democracy.
