Opinion: OK, no indoctrination in public schools ... wait, unless it's pro-Christian?

Some of our political leaders seemed to be talking out of both sides of their mouths about why it is wrong for public school employees to engage in what the leaders think is pushing a point of view onto students.

These leaders need to figure out whether it is good when school employees are involved in what critics call indoctrination.

On one hand, some K-12 school districts around the nation have been up to their chalkboards in controversy over allegations that teachers are trying to pass on to students the teachers’ opinions on LGBTQ issues, transgender rights, or disparities involving race.

But this week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case out of Bremerton, Washington, where a football coach’s postgame prayers on the 50-yard line have divided residents and split politicians nationwide more than any football rivalry.

Make sure your prayer is a public spectacle.

Matthew 6:5-8 KJV

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

the most dangerous place for a child is anywhere near a Baptist youth minister or a group home for children operated by a preacher and/or his wife.
