Desantis has stepped in a big steaming pile of poop with big business!

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a decision by the Republican-led legislature in Floria -- at the behest of Gov. Ron DeSantis -- to strip the Disney Company of its special taxing privileges has bondholders in a frenzy over who will be responsible for approximately $1 billion in debt payments.

Within the report stating, "Florida law dictates the bondholders must be paid," the Journal's Heather Giller wrote, "Those caught up in the fight include municipal bond investors, firefighters, and the $210 billion global media and marketing enterprise behind Star Wars, the Avengers and ESPN."

With investors asking, who will be held accountable for repaying nearly $1 billion in municipal debt used to build the infrastructure surrounding the massive Disney World theme park, the Journal is reporting, "One of the bill’s sponsors is now considering re-establishing a watered-down version of Reedy Creek to unwind the legal mess. Even IF the state pays off the bonds, if Disney doesn't like the full revocation or the watered-down district, it can still sue for denial of free speech. This seems to have been ignored since the issue of the bond debt has been highlighted. Retaliating for protected speech is definitely unconstitutional, and that's what DeSantis and the legislature did.

I don't understand why free speech is not highlighted here, especially since repukes are always whining about free speech because they truly do NOT understand its actual definition.

Freedom of consequences for hate speech. They just don't say it out loud.

I'm definitely not a corporation lover, but I will definitely make an exception in Disney's case. I hope they sue the hell out of Florida and get all those corporate perks back and more.

And furthermore, my ass is working with a group of Democratic women to get a Democrat elected. I can't canvas neighborhoods, but I can sure text and phonebank!!
