The families of the four men have joined forces with campaigners for the protest outside Downing Street tomorrow. They will be demanding British justice for British citizens.
They have the backing of legal experts, human rights groups and MPs, who are all calling for amendments to the Extradition Act 2003. Currently, the Act enables America to take British subjects to the US for detention, trial or jail without producing any evidence to a British judge ...

A COUPLE are set to be extradited to the USA to face drugs charges after losing their final appeal for the case to be heard in the UK.
Justices at the Supreme Court have dismissed submissions put on behalf Middlesbrough man Brian Howes, 48, and his wife Kerry Ann Howes, 34.
The two are accused by the US Drug Enforcement Administration of supplying chemicals over the internet which have been used in the production of crystal meth in America.
However, since their initial arrest by Cleveland Police in 2007, Mr and Mrs Howes had argued for their trial to be held in Britain rather than Arizona, USA ...

The couple, who for legal reasons can only be called Mr and Mrs H, have four children together and four others by different partners ...
The Supreme Court said there was an overwhelming public interest in allowing them to be extradited.

(884 posts)To most other people in the world American Law is not Just. I do not think it is either, so do many others. Another issue to this is that American prisons are Barbaric. These issues need to be addressed first. The penalties here in America are not in proportion to the crimes. It is why everyone is complaining about it in the World.
Meanwhile....The Progression continues...
