Sen. Lindsey Graham threatened to end a meeting with the mother of a slain Capitol police officer if

she didn't stop criticizing Trump, new book claims

Sen. Lindsey Graham reportedly told the mother of Brian Sicknick, the officer who died following the Jan 6 riot, that he would end a meeting with her if she kept talking bad about Trump.

The alleged interaction was recounted by ex-DC Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Falcon in his new book, "Hold the Line: The Insurrection and One Cop's Battle for America's Soul," Politico reported.

According to the report, Graham — a staunch Trump ally — told Gladys Sicknick, "we're going to end the meeting" if she made ill remarks against the former president.

A medical examiner determined that her son, Officer Sicknick, suffered two strokes and passed away on January 7, a day after fighting back pro-Trump. The rioters stormed the Capitol building while Congress certified the 2020 election results for now-President Joe Biden.

He is one of those people who must be loyal to a stronger friend, and after McCain passed, who was left?

This is a tragic case of misplaced loyalty.

No sense in polishing a turd since their hasn't been a good GOPer since Eisenhower. Plus, McCain was awful as well since he allowed mining companies to poison the water supply on Navajo land.

Republican policies do nothing for us or our families - they merely enrich billionaire parasites and funnel wealth to Wall Street.

My point is that as a human being, Lindsey deserves our compassion.

But NOT our votes, and certainly he should be held accountable for breaking the law and imprisoned if convicted. But he still deserves compassion. And a prison sentence.

when he lost McCain he lost a dear friend and hasn’t ever recovered from it. He lost his way. Like you say he deserves compassion, but not votes and maybe prison time.

I also believe Graham was just meeting with them for photo-op sakes, not because he wanted to get to the bottom of anything.

Here is a twitter thread on the day it was happening

I think Graham (or Little Lindsey) occupies a special place for people that can say anything and do anything if it serves their venal interests. Even Gingrich who in in the running has/had a modicum of consistency.

Graham is the epitome of a sniveling pug that wants to be picked up a loved and who would then pee all over you. Trump identified him early but somehow got some goods on this piece-of-shit.

The (r) party is certainly a case study of how humans can descend into inhuman and morally bankrupt positions. (All while clasping bibbles and spouting stuff about patriotism.)
