Rachel Maddow: Mitt Romney 'Lies All The Time'

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/22/rachel-maddow-mitt-romney-lies_n_1372408.html

Rachel Maddow unleashed a monster of an attack on Mitt Romney during her Wednesday show, calling him a liar over and over and over again.

"I'm not the sort of person who jumps on the gaffe of the moment, but this feels like a watershed sort of thing," she said. "...The degree to which Mr. Romney lies all the time about all sorts of stuff and doesn't care whether he gets caught is perhaps the most notable thing about his campaign."

Maddow ran through a long list of things Romney has said that are contradicted by the facts, such as his insistence that he never called for a national healthcare law, or his claim that the economy has gotten worse since President Obama took office.

"This is not a normal amount of politician lying," she said. "He lies about himself, he lies about the president, he lies about everything!" She went on to say that Romney lies "arguably more than any modern candidate for major office, and there are a lot of creeps among them," and that he is guilty of "utterly unashamed, unprecedented deceit."

I found this criticism of Romney by Maddow, which I belatedly just found, particularly pleasing. check out:

Another Big Lie from Romney: Obama’s plan raises taxes on the middle class - really?

"Amazing! ....Romney's campaign is turning out to be made up entirely of Big Lies. I mean, I'm used to people trying to put their arguments in the best light, and perhaps featuring the more persuasive data and glossing over less favorable information but Romney just throws out one bald faced, naked absolute lie after another. He seems to be spinning an alternate reality - custom made for suckers for Republican con-games."

1. Yes, and we don't really need Rachel pointing out his lies to us.

way it may get out (to the M$M/GOP hypnotized). The corporate owned/controlled media have kept their mouths shut about this for three years. They aren't going to change unless they are forced to talk about it (by a firestorm of internet reaction to their massaged news coverage).

You see, this is how the truth is being distorted. Mitt puts the lie out there and the creeps get tried of hearing it. Keep it up Rachel the tax returns are not going away too.

My bad for not being clearer. Yes, I'm glad Rachel does this. I'm just saying even if she didn't many of us have figured this out including many in the middle and on the right politically.

people to not just sigh and say, "what can we do about it. the media doesn't point it out".... but to speak up, email friends, comment on DU, but also on M$M web-sites (USA Today gets a lot of readers - that would be a good place to comment).

But people must get over the feeling that their one or two comments aren't going to make a difference. We have to comment and protest the Big Lies spawned by the GOP and given credibility by their echo chamber of confederates in the Corporate media. (You can get many good links to articles and studies from posts here on DU which can be used in you comments)

Speak up as if your life depended on it (because it does - ie. your quality of life and your livelihood).
