There are hundreds of “Families First” protests planned for tomorrow in dozens of states, led by a coalition of labor unions and progressive organizations. “Our families come first, and we will protect each other,” the event website states.
The protests tie into a 60-hour “Protect Medicaid Vigil,” happening right now on the National Mall in DC. Folks are marking 60 years since Medicaid and Medicare were established, while calling out Trump’s cuts to both.
To amplify the demonstrations, we helped spearhead a national #MedicaidCutsKill messaging campaign yesterday. It trended within an hour on social media, and generated hundreds of millions of impressions.
