In Ironic Christmas Card, Koch-Backed Group Labels Itself Ebenezer Scrooge
By Stephen Lacey on Dec 18, 2012 at 9:38 am
Americans for Prosperity, the Tea Party organization founded and partly funded by the oil billionaire Koch Brothers, is leading the charge against federal renewable energy investments even while vigorously defending permanent tax subsidies for the oil and gas industry.
So AFPs mock Christmas card featuring the stingy, cranky Ebenezer Scrooge disparaging wind tax credits illustrates the organizations stance perfectly:
While voters overwhelmingly back government support of renewable energy and a transition away from fossil fuels, Americans for Prosperity sits scowling in the dark, attempting to protect the fossil fuel industrys subsidies under the guise of the free market.

Heroic codger succumbs to the temptation of mawkish sentiment.

This would be a good idea. This is so wrong is stinks as I read it. The old fossils are still trying to spread their EVIL when they could just BANK their money and die.

If I had about $10 million, I could spend spend about $250,000/year and not even spend the original sum.
I sure as hell wouldn't waste any time trying to make more money.

I suspect most of them can't stop even if they wanted to, it's what they know and who they are.
