Mostly, because I have no class.

I don't even know whether any '79 reunions from my high school have been organized. My younger brother ( '81) has attended one and my sister ('78) has attended, if I correctly recall, two reunions. One of them last week. It was number 35. Among a few others, he says she visited with a fellow cartoonist on the school newspaper.

Between the two of them I get some bits of news about people I knew including the "Those who died since the last party." One of the people on that list at Melany's first reunion was just about the prettiest girl I've ever seen. She was the class of '78 and my only interaction with her was as an extra in a school production of Show Boat, but I vividly recall her raven black hair and alabaster complexion. She died, I think, from cancer.

I doubt I'll ever attend a reunion of my class ('79). Mostly because my circle of friends outside the classroom was limited to a few younger band members and my girlfriend. For me then, attending a reunion would be all about visuals, no stories would be included unless there were some party crashers from the class of '80 in attendance.
