The Case for Abolishing the DHS

Excellent read.

One of the many cogent points:

..evidence that the terror threat was never as great as we thought.
A rather pathetic Heritage Foundation list of 50 terrorist plots against the U.S. foiled since Sept. 11 includes such incidents as a plan to use a blowtorch to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge and “allegedly lying about attending a terrorist training center”—but nothing involving weapons of mass destruction.
Further, these are alleged plots. The list of plausible plots, let alone actual crimes, is considerably smaller.
From 2005 to 2010, federal attorneys declined (PDF) to bring any charges against 67 percent of alleged terrorism-related cases referred to them from law enforcement agencies.

and
A
s an example, economist Veronique de Rugy has highlighted the $557,400 given to North Pole, Alaska, (population 1,570), for homeland security rescue and communications equipment. “If power companies invested in infrastructure the way DHS and Congress fight terrorism, a New Yorker wouldn’t be able to run a hair dryer, but everyone in Bozeman, Mont., could light up a stadium,” de Rugy complained.

and the best part is a hint that the "terra" hype has a monetary reward:
Its very existence suggests the domestic response to the threat of terror is of equal weight with defense, transport, health, labor, or foreign affairs. It heaps largesse on a range of contractors, all of whom have an interest in hyping the threat of terror to ensure the money keeps flowing.

Fire every new position created at DHS and its agencies since. Tear up every new ongoing contract. Do the same for NSA/CIA/DoD.
Close very new military base around the world.

Put 50% of the money saved into social programs, rebate the other half to taxpayers. Watch America bloom.

out of just ONE of the many SEC bank fines.

Just think, every citizen could be putting that million dollars into the economy, creating jobs for everyone else.

the DHS combined with the Patriot Act had nothing to do with terrorist, but rather with population control within the U.S.

As more and more citizens lose what they have due to the actions of a corrupt congress - which is controlled by the 1%, there will be the desire to strike out - and that will not be allowed.

As Jimmy Carter stated a few days ago, we no longer have a functioning democracy in the U.S.

When you cannot live on the what you make at a minimum wage job, and there are calls to even get rid of that - then there is something wrong. When increasingly the job you have does not provide for health care, a defined benefit pension plan, vacation time or sick time off - what does that tell you about the future? When college kids graduate and cannot find a job that enables them to pay off their college loans - and if they cannot secure a few tens of thousands from their parents to start a business - so they are forced to either work for free (the new interns) or move back in with their parents - what does that tell you? When you as an American have to train a person from another country to do your job - so that they can replace you for a lower wage serf - what does that tell you.

There was an article the other day that indicated that the FAA was looking into allowing drones to fly all over the U.S.; the police swat teams act like they are involved in military actions; protest that you might make have to be made in defined protest zones... this is not the country that I was led to believe was "ours".

When it was decided to allow our children to be mis-educated so that they were no longer taught critical thinking, but rather only which letter to pick in taking a test, this was the authorized dumbing down of a populace, and for what purpose?

You don't educate those that you intend to control and enslave...

Somewhere, somehow, the powers that be have decided to turn the heat up on the pot that contains the frogs..... where is the pot and who are the frogs?
