Cantor spews another Big Lie, on Obamacare, earns "pants-on-fire" from Politifact
Seems like the GOPers are competing with each other on who can spout the most Big Lies. Here's Eric Cantor with another one. (I think he's leading the pack).
http://www.politifact.com/virginia/statements/2013/aug/19/eric-cantor/cantor-says-obamacare-gives-irs-access-personal-he/
Under Obamacare, "The IRS will have access to the American peoples protected health care information." ---- Eric Cantor on Friday, August 2nd, 2013 in a floor speech.
Cantor said that under Obamacare, "the IRS will have access to the American peoples protected health care information." But he offers no hard proof, just speculation on a blog.
The IRS will play a major role in Obamacare by collecting a variety of taxes that will help support the program. But contrary to Cantors claim, IRS officials have repeatedly testified before Congress that they will not have access to the intimate details of anyones health records.
Cantors unfounded statement does nothing more than amp up public fear for his ongoing fight to repeal Obamacare. We rate it Pants on Fire.
