A Discussion About Syria Worth Reading For Those Tired Of Cable News Talking Heads

Worth reading...

....snip....
Saturday night I engaged in a discussion about the impending U.S. intervention in Syria. Whatever your opinion on the worthiness of any Syrian involvement, or President Obama’s handling of events leading up to this moment, I believe you’ll walk away from this discussion impressed by the ideas expressed as well as the civility with which it was provided.

The following is the conversation, captured on twitter and re-organized in something resembling a readable, coherent form. I leave you to draw your own conclusions:

The tweets do not carry enough information to stand up to this complex event. Everything is not so simple. We need depth and vision.

how at least some of the most basic facts/issues ... about this extremely complex situation ... can be reasonably and respectfully raised by people with divergent views.

Thanks to the OP for posting it.
